Balder is Enerquip's second largest grit cleaner, designed for power plants that require both high capacity and the ability to serve multiple water intakes with one machine. The mobile solution can be easily moved between small and medium-sized intakes, providing better utilization of the investment and reducing the need for multiple separate machines.

 

With a powerful hydraulic claw, working depth of up to 14 meters and lifting capacity of 2,000 kg or more, Balder handles large amounts of grass, leaves and twigs, as well as heavy logs and larger objects. The wide 2.2 meter claw covers a large part of the gate in each work cycle and provides fast and efficient cleaning.

 

The claw works gently against the intake gate using its own weight and water pressure. A plastic-coated wear plate protects the gate from mechanical wear. The machine can also be equipped with a camera in the claw for better overview and inspection under water.

 

By keeping the intakes open, Balder contributes to better water flow, fewer operational interruptions and reduced production losses. Efficient waste management results in less manual work, fewer emergency calls and lower operating costs.
