Experience and expertise from Norwegian hydropower

Enerquip builds on decades of experience from Norwegian industry and hydropower. With roots in Eiken Mekaniske and the development of our first grain cleaner in 2008, we combine solid mechanical craftsmanship with modern engineering expertise.

We develop and produce tailor-made solutions for hydroelectric power plants and waterways, adapted to Nordic operating conditions. Our expertise includes hydraulics, mechanics, electrical, PLC, construction and calculation. We follow the projects from mapping and design to production, installation and commissioning. Floodgates

Floodgates safely divert floodwater past the facility. They are designed to operate in all positions and for reliable maneuverability, even under demanding conditions. Enerquip customizes solutions to the facility's water flow, geometry and operational needs.

Intake hatches

Inlet gates are installed at the power plant's water intake and make it possible to close off against a reservoir, river or transfer tunnel, so that the waterway can be emptied for inspection and maintenance.

When the hatch is placed directly in front of the turbine inlet, it is called a turbine hatch. Turbine hatches are normally used in low-pressure systems. Large inlet hatches are typically supplied as roller hatches, segment hatches or sliding hatches.

Tap doors

Gate valves are used for precise regulation of water flow from reservoirs and other water systems. The valves can be maneuvered to the desired position to achieve controlled water flow. Common solutions are segmental valves and flap valves.

With Norwegian production, high technical expertise and in-depth understanding of Nordic conditions, Enerquip develops robust hatch solutions with an emphasis on operational reliability, long service life and easy maintenance.
